Robert Sonneman for George Kovacs Feather Lamp

The long-time relationship between George Kovacs and Robert Sonneman began in 1963 when Sonneman interviewed for a sales position with Kovacs’ Manhattan-based lighting and gift store. Over the coming decades theirs grew to be one of the most successful creative relationships in the world of design. Kovacs is known for bringing halogen technology to the U.S, and Sonneman —who became a celebrated architectural and Industrial designer—designed award-winning lamps for the company that made it the go-to source for high quality modern task lighting.
